Lady Bug is about 7 years old and is good with dogs, adults and children.
We're not sure about cats because as far as we know she's not ever been around them. She was used as a breeding dog but when her owners discovered she had diabetes they no longer wanted her. They moved away and left her in an abandoned house in a crate where she was for days before being rescued. She has some visual impairment due to the diabetes but it doesn't slow her down.
Stray Paws Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, foster-based rescue. Our organization believes it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of rescue dogs to place them in loving permanent homes.
We pull animals from high kill shelters on their final minutes and off the streets in St. Louis. We feed strays and set humane traps for the lost and dumped pets and rescue dogs from unsafe home environments to bring them to safety.
We provide spay and neuter services and any necessary medical care for our rescue dogs need. We work with some of the top veterinarians in St. Louis. Dr. Drew Martin at Martin Veterinary Hospital and St. Louis Veterinarian on Grand.
Through a very detailed application process we do our best to place our rescue dogs in loving permanent homes. We call all references, have personal interviews, and conduct home inspections to make sure our dogs and potential adopters are a perfect fit.
